So, I made this blog a few weeks after Trevor and I were married, sitting in our newly moved-in, small New Jersey studio apartment (more like hotel room since it was in an Extended Stay America) imagining the possibilities of everything I could write about. Before I could blink, 3 months flew by, we were back in Utah both finishing our degrees: Trevor his Masters of Accounting and me my Bachelors. Of course, sitting here at the computer a few years later, now a newly mom back in New Jersey staring at an empty blog bring me back to reality and how life all too often gets in the way!
I have always been a terrible journal keeper. To the point where I have 5-6 almost empty journals besides the few paragraphs where I try to promise myself I will develop a habit of writing. And then of course the next entry is years later. So, I need to start keeping promises I make to myself! And I have quickly realized I need this blog as part journal for myself and to also keep friends and family updated on our lives. Being so far from all of our family and many friends and even for updating ones close, this is essential!
Albert Einstien once said "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow, and never stop questioning." I hope I can learn from my yesterdays and live for each day as I share Trevor and my experiences on this blog and never stop questioning and learning from life's rollercoaster ride of ups and downs!
